In which spaces do we navigate? What characteristics do they have? How do these spaces influence our interaction? My particular research centers around the in-between space emerging from crossing class and the shame related to it. What conditions are needed for encounter? How to reclaim devalued spaces? And beyond that, how to create resilient spaces opposing shaming tendencies of prevailing norms within society?

In my practice, I explore ways of making inner processes visible and relating them to external circumstances. In doing so, I prefer media that can be touched, entered, or sensed, and that can be experienced directly by the audience. I build spaces, feel materials, write feelings and record images and sounds of my surroundings.
